July 2026 Monthly Theme: Recovery
Creating a home that helps you truly rest.
Welcome back to July — and to the place we always begin: sleep.
This month marks a full year of the Happy Insiders Club. Whether you've been here since the beginning or have joined somewhere along the way, thank you for being part of this journey. Together we've worked through the Room Resets and numerous Checklists, explored the Mood Resets, Workbooks and Monthly Rituals, and gradually discovered that changing a home isn't really about decoration at all. It's about changing how it supports us.
And that's exactly where we’ll go next.
But if you're new here, your starting point is still the original Bedroom Reset. My Home Therapy™ Method is built on these four key foundational stages, and they remain the heart of everything we do. Work through them in order, at your own pace. There’s no rush, and no expectation to complete everything at once.
Start with the original Bedroom Reset.
👉 Bedroom Reset 1 : Clear
👉 Bedroom Reset 2 : Cleanse
👉 Bedroom Reset 3 : Colour
👉 Bedroom Reset 4 : Curate
But even if you've previously completed the Bedroom Reset, and maybe even have the Workbook too, allow yourself to consider a light-touch review. I'd encourage you to return to it with fresh eyes. You may find a section resonates differently now. You may notice something you overlooked the first time, or realise that something you avoided, or what once felt impossible now feels entirely achievable.
As such, for you, this month is about learning to read your bedroom a little more closely. Because once we've learnt the method, the question changes from What should I do? to What is my room still trying to tell me? Because the truth is that even when a room looks right, it doesn't always feel right. So that’s where we’ll go together this month. Not back to the beginning — but into the reality of living with your space. To notice what it's trying to tell you. You don’t need to go back through every step. Often, it’s just one stage that holds the key. And as you revisit each one, look for the points of friction:
What still catches your eye or feels busy? Where is there still too much? Clear
Where are the sensory cues not quite right — light, air, scent, sound? Cleanse
Does the visual tone fully settle the space, or is something slightly off? Colour
Does your bedroom reflect its actual use, or how you think it should be used. Curate
This is the essence of Home Therapy™. Because once you can see what your space is communicating, the right changes often become surprisingly obvious.
In addition, over the next few weeks, we’ll explore:
Why sleep can still feel elusive, even in a beautifully reset bedroom.
The subtle environmental cues that keep your nervous system on alert.
How to simplify your space so it supports you almost effortlessly.
The small adjustments that often make the biggest difference.
You'll also notice 4 new elements appearing inside the Club:
1. Home Prescriptions — diagnose what's still not working. These follow directly on from your review of the Room Resets. They help you diagnose why a room still isn't quite supporting you, before suggesting one or two small, targeted adjustments. (You’ll find these inside the new space called Room Refines.)
2. Reset: Create — express something of yourself. Once a room is functioning well, only then can we begin to ask: does it feel like you? Create isn't another task to complete. It's an invitation to express something personal through your home. Something made, chosen or shaped that couldn't belong to anyone else. (These will live inside the regular Room Resets space.)
3. Home Details — understand why individual elements matter. These shine a light on the individual elements that quietly shape how a room feels to live in — from lighting and layout to storage, materials and proportion. Small things, perhaps, but often the difference between a room that simply looks good and one that genuinely supports you. (These will also live inside the new Room Refines space.)
4. Home Archetypes — understand the deeper role each space plays. And finally, I'll gradually begin introducing an entirely new way of thinking about home as an exclusive Happy Insider Club introduction to my forthcoming new book, Your Powerful Home (published Spring 2027). Together we'll explore not just how each part of your home looks, but what role it plays in can, and should, play in supporting your life. Does your home offer somewhere to rest? Somewhere to focus? Somewhere to connect? Somewhere to create? Somewhere to simply be yourself? (These will appear in another entirely new space in due course).
But to be clear, these new layers don't replace the original Room Resets. They build on them. Because in our first year together, we learnt the Method, during our second, we'll begin learning to read our homes — and ourselves — with greater confidence, curiosity and care.
As always, take what you need, leave what you don't, and move at your own pace. This has never been about perfection, performance or creating a picture-perfect home. It's about shaping a home that quietly and consistently supports your wellbeing, your relationships, your creativity, your rest, and ultimately, the life you want to live.
I'm so glad you're here.
